The noblest of animals, the Shire Horse is a massive breed of draft horse that was established in England during the 18th century. Holding records for being the biggest and strongest horse at various times, Shires can pull extremely large amounts of weight and were and still are used to haul brewery wagons. The Shire is mild mannered and strong, and is used as a leisure horse and in a number of draft disciplines.
